Sound&Design Serie ONE_08
The new ONE_08 series from Sound&Design, a revolution in the concept of loudspeakers.
We have pumped all of our resources and energy into building a speaker series that would combine the very best in sound quality with a chic Italian design, using the finest materials.
The cabinet was designed with musical instruments at the forefront of our minds. Building it requires great handicraft and precision, the skills required being comparable to those used in lute-making.
Only waxed phenolic-coated Baltic birch plywood was used, with no artificial varnishes or veneers, so as to maintain the original quality of the wood.
The shape of the cabinet is optimized so as to distribute vibrations more uniformly than conventional cabinets. Finding the perfect shape for the cabinet took more than three years of solid graft, creating several prototypes, and developing proprietary software based upon BEM (Boundary Element Method) and FEM (Finite Element Method).
By painstakingly selecting the speakers, we were able to build multiple models within the same cabinet, despite the differences in their sound characteristics.
The frontal reflex port is mounted inside a tuned chamber and the overall design enables you to place the speaker near the back-wall, making it easy to find a place for it in any setting.
Although ONE_08 series loudspeakers can be placed on shelves in size 50x30cm (width x depth), the best sound performance is obtained using the dedicated stands STAND_ONE_08. |
